Nine years running together
For nine years, Fábio and Beatriz have competed on the main street race events, and today they are seen as important representatives of Brazil outside of the country.
They both initiated in track and field in the year 1997, having as their goal since the very beginning, to run well and to be amongst the best in street and track and field races, which are their specialty until the current days. The full time dedication to the track and field sport came since the beginning of their career, due to the fact the both of them are doing what they like with dedication and love.
In their younger categories, they both achieved very good results in their first track and field events, and they soon registered in the Track and Field Federation of São Paulo and in the National Confederation of Track and Field CBAT. Right in the beginning of Fabio's career, as he competed on his 1st State Juvenile Championship, he attained 3rd place and the time necessary to participate on the National Championship in São Leopoldo, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. In the National Championship he attained 6th place. These classifications made his self-esteem to rise up and made him realize that he would have a good career in track and field during his adulthood.
Beatriz with the support of her husband also started valuing the track and field sport as a profession, and also in the beginning of her career she attained the 3rd place on the State Juvenile Championship on the 3km event, also achieving the necessary time to participate of the National Championship. The results achieved during this competition made her a very valuable teenager.
Beatriz and Fábio didn't get to know each other in a track and field event, but in a place very propitious for the practice of running. They met each other in the park of Carmo in São Paulo, amongst nature, flowers, weekend athlete and, children playing, and this environment was what inspired them daily to pursue their dream in track and field.
