The couple sponsored by Reebok reached the podium during the Half Marathon of the city of Buenos Aires; Fábio was the champion and Beatriz assured the second place.

Fabio and Beatriz Nascimento closed their sequence of international race events in great style. They disputed this last Sunday, the Half Marathon in the city of Buenos Aires and they took Brazil to the podium. Fábio got the gold medal and Beatriz was the second place with the silver medal. The event took place in the capital of Argentina with a 21kilometers course.

Fábio Nascimento is 27 years old and he got the gold medal in this event. He crossed the finish line right beside the Argentine Oscar Cortines. They both finished the race in 1h05min52sec. Another Brazilian reached the podium. Adriano Bastos got the bronze medal.

In the female category, Beatriz Nascimento, also 27 years old, got the silver medal, only 26 seconds behind the first place. Beatriz lowered her time on the 21kilometers. She finished the race with the time of 1h19min26sec.

This event in Argentina closed a series of international events disputed by the couple. In July, they participated of the Half Marathon of Asunción, in Paraguay, and they also reached the podium. Beatriz got the gold medal and Fábio got the bronze medal. They were also the champions of the Half Marathon of Punta Del Leste, in Uruguay, in May.

Together for more than 10 years, the couple faces now a tough series of race events. They return to Brazil this next Monday and they will participate of the Inland Open Games during the period of 13-15. On the following two weekends, Fábio and Beatriz have other obligations. They compete the Marathon Pão de Açucar (on the 17th) and the Brazil Track and Field Trophy (on the 24th).
