Couple Nascimento achieves good results during the Half Marathon of Buenos Aires

Brazil had a great accomplishment during the Half Marathon disputed this last Sunday in the city of Buenos Aires, through the streets of the capital. Amongst the men, Fábio Nascimento was the great highlight of the event and he got the second place in a very balanced event. Amongst the women, Beatriz Nascimento, Fábio's wife also got the second place.

With 27 years of age, Fábio crossed the finish line right beside the Argentine Oscar Cortines, both with the same time of 1h05min57sec. Brazil also had as a highlight, Adriano Bastos, third place in this race event. Beatriz in the other hand finished her race with the time of 1h19min19sec.

"To participate of the Open Games is very important to us", said Beatriz. "This is the competition that gathers the athletes that achieved good times during their regional events". We classified in ours and we are now disputing the podium against the best of each region of the country."

Following the Open Games events, the couple will head to the Pão de Açúcar Relay Marathon. The race is scheduled for Sunday, also in Ibirapuera, and this will be the 14th edition of the event. The course has 42kilometers and the start will begin in the Av. Pedro Alvarez Cabral, close to the Obelisco. Both Beatriz and Fabio will dispute the marathon as a duo and each of them will run 21kilometers.
