Fábio and Beatriz Nascimento run this Sunday the main and most traditional track and field event of Brazil.

This Saturday, starting at 15h, the couple Fábio and Beatriz Nascimento will be concentrating for the most important street race event's dispute of the season. They will face the 15 thousand meters of the course on the 81st São Silvestre's race looking for scores on the Street Runners 2005 Ranking from the CBAt (Brazilian Track and Field Confederation). Fábio is in 16th place in the ranking, with 51 points, while his wife is in 18th place in the ranking with 50 poins. The ranking is a way of recognize the top 20 athletes of the season, who will receive in the year 2006, the support of the Bank Caixa Econômica and the Confederation as well. "We are very well trained and confident to do a good race", announces Fábio Nascimento. The couple counts with the sponsorship of Reebok.

The duo, who are married and run together for eight years, were in the inland of Minas Gerais training specifically for the São Silvestre's Race. "During the last few days we were isolated and training specifically for this event. In Belo Horizonte, we didn't achieve a good result on the Volta da Pampulha's Race (happened on the 4th of December) because we were coming from a intense series of competitions in Brazil and Argentina", says Fábio. He finished this state race in 40th place and Beatriz finished in 23rd place. "For this Saturday, we will be rested physically and psychologically", said Beatriz, that became an athlete after started dating Fábio. Currently, the couple dedicates themselves fulltime to sport and participates in events in Brazil and outside of the country as well.
